Zero Dissipative Explicit Hybrid Method for Numerical Integration of Oscillatory Problems

Abstract

A zero dissipative and dispersive explicit integrator for oscillatory problems is proposed and derived in this paper. In the derivation, algebraic order conditions as well as dispersion and dissipation conditions are considered. The method has algebraic order five. Numerical experiment is conducted to measure the performance of the new method. Results obtained from the experiment suggest the superiority of the method over several existing methods.
