Abstract

Virtual Chemistry Laboratory refers to the simulation-based approach to conducting chemistry experiments through digital platforms in a popular methodology known as Flipped Classroom in Blended Learning. This innovative method utilizes advanced software (a web-based App) to replicate traditional laboratory experiments, offering a realistic and immersive experience for learners (students) in a virtual environment. The virtual setup allows students to manipulate virtual apparatus, interact with chemical substances, and observe reactions, closely mirroring the hands-on experience of a physical laboratory. This submission explores the advantages of virtual chemistry practical, emphasizing their potential to enhance accessibility, safety, and cost-effectiveness in science education. The simulation enables students to conduct experiments remotely, overcoming geographical constraints and promoting inclusivity. Additionally, the elimination of hazardous materials ensures a safer learning environment. The cost-effectiveness of virtual practical makes them an attractive option for educational institutions facing budgetary constraints. The impact of virtual chemistry practical on students' understanding and retention of concepts. Preliminary findings suggest that the virtual approach enhances engagement, comprehension, and critical thinking skills, demonstrating its potential as an effective tool for modernizing chemistry education and other physically stressful activities that mitigate the high technophobia.
